Description
Gustav Klimt (1862-1918), Austrian symbolist painter and a founding member of the Vienna Secession movement, helped define the Art Nouveau style in Europe with his ethereal works. Klimt, who produced many paintings, murals, sketches, and other objets d'art, primarily focused his artistry on the female body, his paintings often marked by a frank eroticism. In addition to his figurative works, he painted landscapes... several of which are included in this year's calendar. He is best known for his iconic work, "The Kiss," which is also included in this edition.
