EC Archives The Complete Tales From The Crypt Archive

First and foremost, this is just such a fantastic collection of stories from the pages of EC Comics' Tales from the Crypt! From issues #20-46 to be exact. But you might be asking, "Marty, where the heck are issues #1-19?!" No doubt there are plenty of you out there who know the answer to that question. But for the few, uninitiated out there who don't, here's the gruesome details of why there isn't a previous volume to this collection.

As it sometimes happened in comics, the legendary Tales from the Crypt began its life in 1948 under a very different title. FOUR different titles actually—until finally becoming EC's most famous title in October 1950. They were:

International Comics #1-5 (1947)

International Crime Patrol #6 (1948)

Crime Patrol #7-16 (1948–1950)

The Crypt of Terror #17-19 (1950)

Which brought us to 1950's Tales from the Crypt #20 (thru #46) after one final title change. And the rest, they say, is history. SQUA TRONT! ~Marty
