Corben Legacy Vol. 1: Early Works & Fandom

The long-awaited successor to Fershid Bharucha's Flights into Fantasy: forty-five years after the first and only critical book in English about Richard Corben, Corben Legacy picks up where it left off. Several volumes will explore various periods and themes of his career, with this first one dedicated to his early years and debuts in fanzines.

• A dive into the past. Through interviews with early publishers, numerous excerpts from Richard Corben interviews from all periods, and the memories and correspondence preciously kept by his friends, Corben Legacy offers a set of unspoken backstories and provides new insights into his early years.
• A wide range of artistic expression. This book not only explores Corben's career as an illustrator and a comic book artist, but also a sculptor and a film-maker. Historical images from very early movies such as Siegfried Saves Metropolis, Vampires, or The Search for the Golden Mold will be unveiled for the first time.
