This statue depicts a scene out of Edgar Rice Burroughs' adventure novel, The Monster Men. A grotesque, hunchbacked lipless monster with bulging eyeballs crouches next to a pond, a beautiful woman slung over his shoulder. The shapely damsel's skimpy orange dress is torn, and her eyes express terror. Below, a snake is ready to strike. The art was first used as a cover for an English anthology comic called A-1. Fantastically detailed, ready to display and packaged in a full color box.
