This is a perfect gift book, to yourself or just about anyone you know who wants to see the usually unseen world below ocean waves. Open it to any page and you find gorgeous full color photographs everything from coral, Whale Sharks, a Long-Armed Octopus, Needlefish, Bicolor Parrotfish, Hawksbill Turtle to a Marine Iguana. The photography is all close-up, filled with minute detail and lovely colors. Each is accompanied by a nice bite-size paragraph about the subject, so this is a perfect book to flip open at a television commercial, while in the bathroom, or taking any kind of break for even just a few minutes. With 365 pictures, you can revisit it over and over and absorb the wonders so many of us will never see in real life, unless we go snorkling or scuba-diving. I know anyone in my family, from my sisters to my 90-year old mother, to my son and daughters, all would enjoy this.
