TELLING STORIES: The Comic Art of Frank Frazetta
Edited by Edward Mason.
Frazetta's early, uncollected comic art. Fantasy art's most popular painter was also one of the most popular comic book illustrators during the industry's golden age. This celebrates the rare and largely forgotten stories created five decades ago by this iconic artist.
These jungle adventures, true-life tales of heroism, and dreamy love stories exhibit the skill of a master craftsman. Full comic tales of "Thunda," "Too Late for Love," "The Wrong Road," "Untamed Love," "Squeeze Play," "Judy of the Jungle," "War of the Gladiators" and more. Also includes informative text explaining the context and the influences these tales had on the comic industry. Slipcase.

You've seen his paintings, his sketches, his water colors, and perhaps some of his comics work. But never has there been any comprehensive collection of Frank's comic book work until now.

And never has it been reproduced better. Everything has been newly colored and it is simply gorgeous, like a new look at each story even if you'd seen them before. Here is the famous Thunda, his lush sexy stories for love titles, the one solo EC story, Sqeeze Play. Plus White Indian, rare two and three page war stories from Heroic Comics, Judy of the Jungle and the stunning Captain Comet with Al Williamson.

There's also a excellent critical overview of all his comics work, reproductions of original artwork and a cover gallery of wonderful Ghost Rider and Buck Rogers covers.

This gets my highest recommendation.

This handsome hardcover comes in an illustrated slipcase. There is no softcover edition currently planned. A deluxe edition is in the works and we expect to be the exclusive distributor. Watch for more on this.
