The morbid imagination of Edgar Allen Poe inspired some of the world's greatest illustrators to create some of their finest works. Filled with more than 100 images spanning a 60 year period including Edouard Manet's 1875 lithographs for "The Raven" and the 1935 illustrations by Arthur Rackham for "The Tell Tale Heart." Also includes epic watercolors by Edmund Dulac and Harry Clarke as well as etchings by Gustave Doré and beautiful Art Nouveau plates by W. Heath Robinson. 11 different artists are featured with several pages of artwork, plus the history of each book.
