Hale had two one-man shows at the Jerwood Space Gallery in London in 2005. This two-book set complements these exhibitions and consolidates Hale's move in the direction of fine arts. Set includes: Mockingbirds, a tightly focused series of recent oil paintings; and Relaxeder, a looser collection of drawings and photographs. Hale is a Gold Medal Society of Illustrators winner.
