Not every Golden Age comics is worth the high prices you find them at. But these Bill Everett issues are among my favorites. I happily paid 150 to 300 each for these ten issues. Now they are yours for just 6 each! Brimming with work by one of the finest artists and most popular anti-heroes in comics.
Subby remains a fan favorite because not only is the art great, but he was not your average hero. He got pissed off, he wrecked the U.S. armies and navies, he fought the goody-goody Human Torch, he was perfectly comfortable in ice cold artic waters, and seemed to have one cute girlfriend below the sea Namora and above it, the policewoman Betty. Sheesh, some guys have all the luck.
These fun, readable stories are among the best of the early Marvel comics.
