By Victor Arwas.
French painter and graphic artist Legrand (1863-1951) was a student of Félicien Rops and friend of artists Toulouse-Lautrec, Steinlen and Anquetin. Includes at least 130 of his paintings and etchings which are delicate, sensual, and literary, with a richness of image and color. They often feature nudes of period women, showgirls and dancers. This volume coincides with the major exhibition at the Félicien Rops Provincial Museum, and consists of a Catalogue Raisonné, a study in depth of the artist and an article analyzing the relationship between Legrand and Rops by Véronique Leblanc.
