J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851) was one of Britain's greatest landscape and marine painters. He excelled in every branch of his genre, from elaborate paintings in the classic tradition to tiny, jewel-like watercolors of contemporary life on land and sea. Turner had a prodigious output of some 550 oil paintings and thousands of watercolors and sketches, and this book is lavishly illustrated with the best, taking us on a grand tour of the artist's works.
