FRAZETTA FUNNY STUFF Deluxe
By Frank Frazetta. Edited by Craig Yoe (signed).
Recommended
Signed & limited, 100!
Limited to 100 copies, features a striking gold foil-embellished variant cover, adored with a never-before-published sexy gal illustration by Frazetta! Inside you'll find a bookplate illustrated and signed and hand-numbered by Craig Yoe.

Frank Frazetta! He's been rightfully called "The Grand Master of Fantasy Art"!

But, it's less known that Frazetta also conquered other worlds in the Golden Age of Comics, as shown in his Donald Duck-ish funny animal work and hilarious hillbilly stories. Even those aware of this wonderful Frazetta art don't know the complete extent and incredible range of this wonderful, seminal and charming work.

This book is a whopping 256 page, large-format pages, culled from several key collectors to include each and every humorous text illustration and story Frank did circa 1944-1953! Includes the gorgeous (and scarce) fairy tale adventure from Happy #33, his first work from Tally-Ho Comics, exquisite "Looie Lazybones" stories, pre-dating his work on Li'l Abner by several years.

Even his single panel illustrations have fairy tale and sometimes sinister overtones, revealing the talent that was ready to burst forth in projects like White Indian, Thunda, and eventually the Conan and Edgar Rice Burroughs paperback covers! Don't miss this incredible part of the Frazetta legend, a labor-of-love book from the dedicated Craig Yoe Studios.

About Bud

I've been actively collecting, buying and selling now since 1968. I received a San Diego Comic-Con Inkpot Award in 1994. I am in Fifty Who Made DC Great (1985) , Founders of Comics Fandom (2010), Comics: Between the Panels (1998), etc.

I opened my first comic store with six partners in 1968, co-owned a chain of seven comic stores from 1972-1988, and distributed comics and specialty items from seven warehouses in four states until I sold that portion of the business to Diamond Comic Distributors in 1988.

I've exhibited at every San Diego Comic Con since the first in 1970. I've twice been on the Spectrum Jury panel and am on the advisory board, I've helped publishers assemble books using my own collection as source material, and I provide input or advice to publishers on new projects.

I have never stopped collecting and learning about comics and art history. I'm pleased that my enthusiasm and interest can help me to better introduce customers to new as well as vintage artists and collections. I use "Recommended," "Highly Recommended," and "Our Highest Recommendation" to show my personal endorsement and enthusiasm for items that I am most excited about.
