By Tony Nourmand and Graham Marsh.
Sex, drugs, delinquency, black power, alternative culture and rock and roll, are just some of the themes which attracted the attention of the cinema's bottom-feeders over the past 80 years. The posters for these films, from Alberto Vargas' artwork for Ladies They Talk About (1933) to Alan Aldridge's photomontage for Warhol's Chelsea Girls (1966), offer in most cases, far more than the movies actually delivered. Recently reissued by Taschen, (through their Evergreen imprint), this title was previously offered by Aurum Press.
