By Everett Raymond Kinstler.
In the comics world, Kinstler was a superior illustrator in the Golden Age of comics. In the fine art world, he's at the very top, a portraitist of presidents and film stars, while his landscapes, interiors, figurative work and still lifes are among the best of the genre. Over 150 examples of his fine art work, primarily portraits of entertainers (John Wayne, Katharine Hepburn, Paul Newman and others) as well as several U.S. Presidents. There's also a short section on his early comics and pulp covers. In 1999 Kinstler received the Copley Medal from the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, its highest honor. Signed by Kinstler.
